"Health Research" Video Series"

During each 30 minute interview, prominent scientists and physicians talk about new treatments for many diseases. Each guest discusses research progress and the role animal models play. California Biomedical Research Association ( CBRA) Health Research series is currently broadcast on 15 public access TV stations in California, as well as Massachusetts, Michigan and Pennsylvania; reaching an estimated 4 million households in California alone. We are pleased to note that the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) featured an article on Health Research in its membership publication in January 1995. These videos are also available at a minimal cost to teachers and to those offering staff training programs or patient orientation. 1997 topics include Lou Gehrig's Disease, High Altitude Breathing and Heart Problems, Treating Bone Defects, Open Heart Surgery, Craniofacial Birth Defects, Gene Therapy Preventing Clogged Arteries, and Clinical Depression.
